3′ x 5′ Leather Pride Flag with grommets and double stitched edges to reduce fraying.
✍️ The Design: Designed byAnthony F. (Tony) DeBlase, the flag was first unveiled at the International Mr. Leather (IML) event in Chicago in May 1989. The design features a horizontal, rectangular flag with nine horizontal stripes of alternating black and royal blue with one white stripe in the middle, along with a red heart in upper left corner.
The symbolism behind the colors and design of the leather pride flag is significant. Black represents black leather, Blue represents denim, the single White stripe in the middle represents integrity, purity, safety, and solidarity. The red heart represents the love and passion that binds the leather community together.
